Why we stopped Danbalki from featuring on programme – Kano FRCN
The Zonal Director, Kaduna National Station of the Federal Radio Corporation (FRCN), Malam Buhari Auwalu, has explained why the station stopped President Muhammadu Buhari’s political associate, Abdulmajid Danbalki also known as Commander, from featuring on its programme, Hannu da Yawa.
Auwalu, while responding to an allegation by Commander, that the station was instructed by the president’s media aide, Alhaji Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada, to stop him from featuring on the programme, said the allegation was false.
He said, “I do not receive orders from the president’s media aides. We suspended Danbalki from the programme in compliance with the ethics of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
“It is on record that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released timetable for the 2019 general elections and it is unprofessional to allow politicians to be aired on live programmes without proper regulation”.
