FG, please tackle the fuel crisis

- Ahmed Adamu wrote from Gwagwalada, Abuja

For several weeks now, Nigerians have been wasting hours at petrol stations across the country, to purchase fuel. While some are lucky to purchase the product at the official rate of N145, some get it for as high as N250. The federal government and petroleum marketers have continued to trade blames over the cause of the crisis. But that is not what we should be doing at this stage. I urge the government to do everything possible to ensure that the product is made available to consumers across the country. The fact that the problem was tackled for about a week and it resurfaced is an indication that the real issue has not been looked into. It is important to note that hours spent on queues at petrol stations can be used for more productive things that could improve the country.
