Crescent Varsity To Honour Mohammed Ali

CRESCENT University, Abeokuta, at its 9th convocation ceremony will confer an honorary doctorate degree (DSC honoris causa) on the Chief Executive Officer of United Kingdom based media, Islamchannel, Mohammed Ali.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr. Idris Katib, Ali is expected to be one of the special guests at the convocation, where he would be honoured with Doctor of Science (honoris causa) in Mass Communication in recogni- tion of his positive contributions to free press and the media industry.

Mohammed Ali founded Islam Channel in 2004 and organized “the first Global Peace and Unity event in 2005, which has since attracted over 50,000 members of the public.

The university had previously conferred honours on Alhaji Aliko Dangote, former President, Alhaji Shehu Usman Shagari, Chairman Honeywell Group, Oba Otudeko and Sir Kensington Adebutu.
