FRo­moc­to­ber 5 - 8, 2017, SMO Art Gallery is show­ing the works of three ir­rev­er­ent Nige­rian artists Olu­mide On a dipe, Nengi Omuku and Taiye Idaho rat the 1:54 Con­tem­po­rary african art fair in Lon­don. Mean­while, the same SMO opens The wheat­baker art col­lec­tion at the Wheat baker Ho­tel in Ikoyi, from Sept 18- Nov 17 and presents Mo dupe ola Fadugba’s solo ex­hi­bi­tion: Heads up, keep swim­ming at the Tem­ple Muse from Novem­ber 2 to Novem­ber 30. Those are in­di­vid­ual shows. The Film Fes­ti­val Lights, cam­era, africa her­alds the end-of-year Fes­ti­val sea­son in La­gos with its 2017 edi­tion themed Re­set, hold­ing at the Fed­eral Palace Ho­tel, La­gos from 29 Septem­ber – 1 Oc­to­ber, 2017. Fe­labra­tion, a yearly event ded­i­cated to cel­e­brat­ing the iconic mu­si­cian Fela, runs from Oct 9,2017– Oct 15,2017. Artxla­gos, the new, largely con­cep­tual art ex­hi­bi­tion, will run from Nov 3- nov 5. The Lag os book and art fes­ti­val, tagged Africa’s largest cul­ture pic­nic, will hold from Novem­ber 6 to 12, 2017 and ake Book and art fes­ti­val, in Abeokuta, will run from Novem­ber 14 to 18,2017
