Nigeria Out Of Recession, Not Nigerians, Says NCP

- By Eniola Daniel

THE National Conscience Party of Nigeria (NCP), has scolded the Federal Government for not doing enough to alleviate the sufferings of the people through providing basic needs in the face of economic hardship.

The Lagos State chairman of the party, Fatai Ibuowo said the report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) that Nigeria is out of recession is not accepted by his party, because the people are not feeling the impact of the exit.

He felt the information was meant to take off the public’s attention from the government’s lack of clear-cut idea on how to manage the country’s economy and better the lives of the people.

Ibuowo said increase in crime rate should be a major concern and reason the government should consider tackling the economy woes.
