DOAMF Char­ity Golf Tour­na­ment tees-off this week­end

THE fi­nal of the 2018 Daniel Ogechi Aku­jobi Me­mo­rial (DOAM) Foun­da­tion Golf Tour­na­ment tees off on Satur­day at the Golf Sec­tion of Ikoyi Club 1938 in Lagos, the or­gan­is­ers have an­nounced.

As is now the tra­di­tion with this event, it en­joys tremen­dous pa­tron­age of golfers and cor­po­rate or­ga­ni­za­tions, in­clud­ing Price­wa­ter­house­coop­ers, Di­a­mond Bank Plc, ARM Pen­sion Man­agers, Ra­dial Cir­cle Group, Zenith Bank Plc, SEPLAT Pe­tro­leum, Channels Tele­vi­sion, Sil­ver­bird Tele­vi­sion, Grand OAK, Cappa & D’al­berto, SPAR (Park N’ Shop), Fi­delity Bank Plc, Vic­to­ria Crown Plaza, Ikoyi Club 1938, Protea Ho­tel, Wheat­baker Ho­tel, Four Points by Sher­a­ton and many more.

Over 180 play­ers, made up of those that made the cut at the Jan­uary 6, 2018 qual­i­fier and in­vited guests are ex­pected to com­pete for top prizes, in­clud­ing the 2018 cham­pion of the DOAM Foun­da­tion Char­ity Golf Tour­na­ment.

The co­or­di­na­tor of the event, Mr. Pat Bassey at the week­end dis­closed “the golf course will be espe- cially chal­leng­ing this time around given the on­go­ing re­con­struc­tion work on two of the holes but, we have worked with the golf course man­age­ment to en­sure play­ers ha ve an en­joy­able golf­ing ex­pe­ri­ence.”

He also as­sured of a tour­na­ment day ex­pe­ri­ence, which has be­come one of the hall­marks of this tour­na­ment.
