The verbal war between Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and his Anambra State counterpart, Willie Obiano, took another dimension with Obiano telling Okorocha to keep quiet when serious governors are talking because he (Okorocha) has nothing to offer. • General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, said there is dearth of good leadership in the country, adding that the church is the worst hit.

The new Multi Year Tariff Order (MYTO) kicked-off amidst protest by consumers and promises by government that the new rate will correct the whole system in the entire value chain of the power sector. • The Catholic Church transferred controversial priest, Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka from Enugu to Emene. The church said the move was to make him more useful not punitive.

House of Representatives member, Farouk Lawan, who led a probe into the fuel subsidy program that saw billions of dollars lost through fraud, was charged along with his aide, Emenalo Boniface, with soliciting a $3million bribe from Femi Otedola, chairman of Zenon Petroleum & Gas Ltd.
