ADP denies alliance with SDP

- From Adamu Abuh, Abuja

THE Action Democratic Party (ADP) has dispelled the news making the round that it has gone into alliance with the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

ADP’S National Chairman, Yabagi Sani said it was surprising the Chief Olu Falae-led SDP could claim it was in alliance with the ADP.

Said he: “We are therefore shocked that the party still went ahead to publish and circulate the news apparently to deceive Nigerians and acquire undeserved popularity.

“We however still want to believe that an overzealous official of the SDP would have been responsible as we still want to hold that the highly respected leadership of the party will not want to cut corners to attain popularity.

“However, if any individual or group of persons had succeeded in deceiving and defrauding the SDP that it is representing ADP and signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on its behalf, too bad and unfortunate.”

Sani insisted that the ADP is standing strong and firm as the most credible alternative to our current experience and is working hard to deliver the alternative to Nigerians in 2019. He added: “ADP has not signed any memorandum with any political party or any group whatsoever.”

He insisted that the party is strong enough to provide the canopy needed by Nigerians, who desire a new nation where promises are kept and destinies are fulfilled. ADP remains strong across the nation. And it is fully set to contest the 2019 elections.”
