No regrets over my detention at DSS, says Imo PDP media aide
NEW Media Director of the Imo State Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), Ambrose Nwaogwugwu has said he has no regrets over his role that led to his detention at the Directorate of State Services ( DSS).
The DSS had detained Nwaogwugwu on May 28 following the state government’s petitions over his alleged involvement in media terrorism, blackmail and libelous online publications against Governor Hope Uzodinma.
But on the orders of the Federal High Court, Owerri for N500, 000 bail bond and two sureties, he was however, released on June 22, after 27 days in detention.
In a statement yesterday, Nwaogwugwu accused Uzodinma of using the state security apparatus to intimidate, harass and gag the opposition and dissenting voices against his administration.
