TEETH 4 TEETH ...

- With Justin Akpovi- Esade

Only In Nigerian Movies...

THIS is what you will find, only in Nigerian movies. A jobless man will be walking aimlessly on the streets, and he will meet a young, pretty girl, whose car had broken down and she is at a loss on what to do. The man who is not a car mechanic will ask her to open the engine and he will fiddle with it for about a minute and the car will start. And the lady will give him his complimentary card and boom! She is the daughter of Dangote...

The story will not end there o.

The next scene will be the girl introducing the jobless man who we will later find out is a FIRST CLASS degree holder from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, and the rich man, Mr ‘ Dangote’ will make him the head of his companies and they will later get married and live happily ever after... end of Nigerian film.

The question TEETH4TEETH is asking here is, una Nollywood producers nor dey tire to use dis same storyline since almost 30 years now?

Anyway sha, to God be the glory!

Between Femi Adebayo And Oga Bello

INcase you don’t know, popular Yoruba movie actor, Femi Adebayo is son of equally popular actor, ‘ Oga Bello’. But that is not the story here.

In every 10 Yoruba movies, seven are most likely to feature the two actors. That is to show how good they are. And in that seven movies, Femi will most likely too, be the SON of his father.

The question I want to ask Yoruba movie producers and Director is this; na only Femi fit be the Son of Oga Bello for every movie? Come on guys, let us be more creative na.

Nollywood Movies...

HAVE you read Mariama Ba’s classic work, titled So Long A Letter? If you haven’t, then you should, it will give you a clue about what I am about to tell you now. In fact, Nollywood movies should be titled SO LONG A LETTER. Why? Early in the week, TEETH4TEETH woke up around 5am, put on the TV, did some catch up on news updates on both local and international news channels and finally settled down on the Nollywood movie channel. The film was just starting, at about 6am. At about 7am, TEETH4TEETH went to take his bath and drove to Victoria Island.

Meeting over at about 11am, and back to Surulere. Exhausted a bit, and TV is best option. Lo and behold, the movie I left since 6am was still showing at about 12 midday! Are you kidding me? One movie lasting over five hours? I gave up!
