Sheddy Baba Goes Back To Church?

RECALL once upon a time fast rising stand up comedian, Sheddy Baba? Yes, Sheddy Baba who belonged to the league of Basketmouth, Teju Babyface among others back in the day... you got him now.

He was truly on top of his game, featuring in number one comedy show Nite of A Thousand Laughs every other season; then he suddenly disappeared from the scene for about a year.

When he resurfaced, he held T4T, Nollywood stars Ejike Asiegbu, Okey Bakassi and others hostage for hours, regaling them on how he had found peace with himself because of the new religion he had embraced.

He said he was done with either Christianity and Islam and what he was practicing was ‘ Chrislam’, a combination of both religions. T4T knew something was not right with the young man, notwithstanding the confidence he exuded in preaching his new ‘ religion’. One by one, everybody left the table for him.

Fast forward to about seven years after, which was last Sunday here, and who did T4T run into on Thomas Animaahuan Street, Aguda, Lagos, but the one and only, SHEDDY BABA! He just stepped out of the morning service of a branch of a popular Pentecostal church and hailed a commercial motorcyclist popularly called Okada.

Spotting a ring on his right ear, the comedian was deeply engrossed in haggling the fare with the ‘ Okada man’ when T4T sneaked past him.

Nor be me Sheddy Baba go hold hostage again to explain why im don begin go church again. I had no one hour to spare that Sunday morning.

He was not looking any better, but at least better than that night he held us all hostage at O’jez.

Who Did This To That Yoruba Movie Actor?

ANdso, T4T was watching a Yoruba movie during the week, with keen interest for almost an hour. Nothing had gone ‘ wrong’ so far, but just when one was about to give the movie a ‘ clean bill of health’, popular actor Demola Olatunji walked into camera view.

The actor, one of the best in that sector, gave the movie, titled Odaju a Filip, but a careful look at Demola showed he wore a brown belt on black shoes!

Jesu! So, Demola does not know that that was a wrong combo? Brown belt on black shoes? And to think the fella wore them so proudly, even though it may be the costumier who offered him! Bros, you fall my hand.

Anyway, the 2018 movie titled Odaju and directed by Tope

Adebayo, also featured Femi Adebayo and Bimbo Oshin.

Time To Give Up On...

TObe Frank, I am almost on the brink of giving up on the person who writes the synopsis of movies on Epic and Yoruba movie channels on DSTV. Why? I have tried for months now to draw the attention of the Pay TV outfit to this embarrassing reoccurrence of the ‘ murdering’ of English language by that fella on a daily basis.

So, T4T was watching a movie titled Apani on the Yoruba channel and out of curiosity because the movie was already ‘ sweeting’ T4T, he decided to check the information. And boom, this was what he got: “A mother and daughter plots to ruin her son’s home. Soon, the daughter meets her mother- in- law....”

Wait a minute, a mother and daughter ‘ plots’??? Did I get that right? Reading glasses was picked up from the centre table, glasses was put on and confirmation made.

Soon, this faceless person will just use his or her big Oyinbo to wound somebori someday soon!

Nowhere To Hide On DSTV

AFTER being bombed on the Yoruba channel with bad English, T4T beat a hurried retreat to Epic channel to seek refuge. A movie was on ( fear nor let me look the title), checking the information was a matter of urgency.

“Two brothers lives happily together after the death of the father until their uncle steps in...”

WHAT? Two brothers ‘ lives’ happily?... after the death of ‘ the’ father?

Well, it was enough for one day, so ‘ off’ the TV went, but before then, T4T knew that Iyke Odife directed the movie and it starred Chioma Akpotha, Oma Nnadi among others.

If una like, go find the film but eat well to stand the ‘ nuclear missiles’ dem go fire you.
