HAKIM Ziyech’s secondhalf goal sent Chelsea into the FA Cup final, as Thomas Tuchel’s Blues beat an off- colour Manchester City to end Pep Guardiola’s quadruple hopes.

The Moroccan tapped home from inside the box after Timo Werner had squared to him, which ended up being the only goal of the game at Wembley.

The Morocco winger earlier had a goal disallowed for offside, while Ben Chilwell also wasted an excellent chance to open scoring for Chelsea.

Chelsea stand- in goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, was rarely tested by Guardiola’s City, with the west Londoners having two goals disallowed due to offside.

Chelsea will play the winner of today’s semi- final between Leicester and Southampton ( 18: 30 BST).

City went into yesterday’s semi- final with hopes of becoming the first English club to win the Premier

League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup in the same season.

City and Chelsea had both secured their places in the last four of the Champions League this week - but Pep Guardiola’s side had their sights set on a unique haul of four trophies as they close in on the Premier League title and also face Tottenham here in the League Cup final on April 25.

Man City made eight changes from their

Champions League win against Borussia Dortmund and now have the added worry of the sight of Kevin De Bruyne limping off injured in the second half.

Chelsea had a very late scare as keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga clawed away Rodri’s injury- time header but manager Thomas Tuchel can now reflect on a hugely satisfying week as his impressive start at Stamford Bridge gathers momentum.
