Glo pre- paid roaming, 4G services now cover China, UAE

TELECOMMUN­ICATIONS firm, Globacom, has extended its pre- paid roaming, data roaming and 4G LTE services to China and the United Arab Emirates ( UAE).

Globacom disclosed in a statement, yesterday, that with this developmen­t, China and the United Arab Emirates have joined other countries where Glo customers can enjoy its prepaid and postpaid services. The rest include United Kingdom, Finland, Spain, Serbia, Sweden, Norway, Russia, Holland, France, Portugal, Poland, Switzerlan­d, Denmark and other parts of Europe. Others in the American region include Brazil, United States, Bolivia, Cayman and Grenada, Chile, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia and Paraguay.

The firm said other countries currently enjoying its postpaid services are Afghanista­n, Bahrain, Lebanon, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Macau, Singapore and South Korea. Others are Mongolia, Myanmar, Maldives, Philippine­s, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan and Vietnam.

In addition to these, Glo subscriber­s will enjoy the company’s services in Japan where its postpaid services are already available. Globacom enthused that the Nigerian contingent to the forthcomin­g Olympic games will be able to communicat­e, browse and chat with their friends and loved ones unhindered throughout the games.

Similarly, customers visiting China and UAE will have unfettered access to super fast 4G LTE and pre- paid roaming, aside from its postpaid services, which were launched several years ago. “We assure our customers of excellent calling and browsing services”, the company added.
