Kingdom, Akunna Land Brand Ambassador­s Deal

INa show of confidence in Nigerian talents, a leading household soap maker, Expand Global Industries Limited ( EGIL), has signed the Nigerian Idol Season 6 winner, Kingdom Kroseide, and the second runner- up, Akunna Okechukwu, as brand ambassador­s of its products.

EGIL is the producer of WAW and Nittol detergents as well as some bar soaps, The Managing Director of EGIL, Rajat Kapur, said the signing of Kroseide and Okechukwu was a demonstrat­ion of the company’s commitment to support local talents, adding that the youthfulne­ss and vibrancy of duo endeared them to the brand.

“The signing is a win- win relationsh­ip between both parties, as it will help the new ambassador­s grow their careers while they energise EGIL products,” Kapur said at the signing ceremony.

The Marketing Director of the company, Kaveh Sani, said: “Signing the two talents as brand ambassador­s shows our commitment. We do not want to just sponsor any show, we also want to make impact on the lives of the participan­ts. This goes to show that we are in this relationsh­ip for the long haul, and we look for different ways to sustain the relationsh­ips.”

Responding to the deal, Kingdom promised to be a worthy ambassador of the brand. He thanked God for making it possible, and he commended the EGIL family for the opportunit­y.

Akunna said she was honoured and privileged to had been chosen to be a part of the EGIL family. She described her endorsemen­t as a big deal for herself and the brand.

“I look forward to the partnershi­p as it unfolds, and I’m ready to make the relationsh­ip worthwhile for both parties,” she said.

EGIL is a subsidiary of Henkel Nigeria. Henkel had in 2016 acquired majority stake in EGIL, which has now become a 100 per cent subsidiary of Henkel.
