He disclosed that he proposed to his wife on the eve of her birthday, but she was not keen to accept, as she had been living with her brother who was a priest and would want a change. But when the marriage later held, she proved to be an immense asset and support to his life and ministry.
Attesting to his wife’s virtues, Ndukuba said: “She is diligent and caring. She connected school, home and church, waking early and going to bed late. She is a better counsellor than myself. She is also a good manager and administrator and has always stood by me. I greatly value her.”
Some clergy wives and church officials also extolled Mrs. Ndukuba’s virtues. For Mrs. Otoki, the celebrant is “very beautiful inside out, caring, down- to- earth, meticulous and a great resource to the Primate’s ministry, as Priscilla to Aquila.”
Mrs. Evelyn Nwafili described Mrs. Ndukuba as “easy- going, simple, humble and very hospitable,” while Mrs. Akanya said she is an “embodiment of beauty, humility and godliness, whose heading the women ministry brought a lot of changes.”
Others who spoke about the celebrant included Mrs Ndubisi, the Registrar and Synod Secretary of the Diocese of Abuja; Barrister Mrs. Kehinde Ajoni and The Ven. Joshua Lambert. They highlighted the synchronisation of her physical and spiritual beauty and the sterling qualities that have boosted the Primate’s ministry and family.
The event featured toasting of celebrant, cutting of birthday cake by the Primate and wife, feeding each other with the cake and dancing.
