WITH the advent of social media, getting to stardom today is a matter of cash. However, it is entirely a different ball game for sensational gospel singer, Iseoluwa Abidemi, convener of ‘ The Iseoluwa’s Concert’, as hard work and tenacity has helped catapult her to limelight following the release of her selftitled single album and maiden live music concert at 13 in 2017.

Determined to use her music to influence the world positively, she has been using her official Ins tag ram page at@ official iseoluwa abide mi, to vibe her favourite gospel songs, both local and international, giving out nuggets from the Bible from her Sunday Bible study verses.

For some time now, the intelligent, vivacious singer has been off the music radar following her relocation to the United Kingdom for academic pursuit.

“Well, music was pending because I just relocated to the UK and am settling into school; this is a new environment. But I have been very active on social media,” she said.

Asked how she was adapting to her new environment, Iseoluwa added: “I’m settling in fine with new things to get adapted to. Like the weather, food, the people but so far, God has been faithful.”

Speaking on joggling between her academics, music and social media engagements, as she recently celebrated reaching 300,000 followers on Instagram, the teenage sensation said: “I woke up one morning asking my mum what will I do to keep my Instagram busy. She told me to go to God for direction, saying that when I ask Him, He would give me directions.

“So I started a Bible Study every Sunday that helped my page. I’m honestly very grateful for having fans that support me and for my social media growing all the way to 300,000 followers.

“As for it affecting my study, the answer is no. Because I’m in college now; I don’t have classes everyday so I use my free days most times to attend to my social media, then my mum checks what I post. She also gave rules and regulations about my social media, which I try not to break.”
