Sean Dampte to Begin Nigerian Tour

- By Maria Diamond

KEEPING to his promise, Nigerian- UK based Afrofusion singer, Oluyole Oluwaseun, professionally known as Sean Dampte, is currently touring some major Nigerian cities and other African countries.

According to the singer’s publicist, Alashi Eniola, better known as Chazy, the tour embarked late last year, saw Sean Dampte and his team first in the nation’s capital, Abuja, then to Port Harcourt and Lagos.

Explaining the motive behind the tour, Alashi said it was to create more awareness for the Sean Dampte brand and his forthcoming album, Hide Your Girls, through organised meet and greet media rounds and performances.

He further stated that the tour schedules would be released as the team keeps meeting to make bigger plans to build up on the success of last year.

Dampte, during the Detty December gigs, headlined a good number of shows including ‘ Buju Live in Concert.’ One of the shows that went viral on the internet was where he and Seyi Vibez had a good time during the latter’s concert held at the African Shrine, Ikeja, Lagos.

The Awoodah crooner had released an Extended Playlist off the Awoodah Series titled

Baba Won, a body of work that would stand the test of time. Some of the songs people love to listen to in the EP include Pe Pe, featuring Nigerian music star, Buju; Allow Me, featuring Seyi Vibez and Ojimo.

Given his performances in the past year, Sean Dampte is no doubt going to break boundaries this year if he does not relent on his game. With his protégé, Khabir with ace producer, Joey Benks and Super Highbee coming together alongside himself, all under the Savage Music Inc Nigeria, the Awoodah grandmaster released the first single of the year titled,

Underrated, on January 14.
