‘ Small Trouble’ For Blossom Chukwujekwu?

NOTABLE actor Blossom Chukwujekwu and his heartthrob Winifred Akhuemokhan should be somewhere now enjoying their ‘ honey moon’. The couple sealed their relationship with all glam wedding, which held penultimate Saturday. The wedding attended by some notable Nollywood personalities such as Eyinna Nwigwe, Kate Henshaw and Emeka Ossai took place almost three years after his first marriage to Maureen Esisi crashed.

Chukwujekwu’s marriage to Esisi lasted four years. Both of them were an item as long as the marriage lasted. Fans of the actor admired the former lovebirds and hailed them each time they took to the social media to display love and affection to each other. But that is in the past now as the actor has moved on.

Congratulatory messages have been pouring in for the actor of vast credit from far and near since the wedding to his new beau. However, if a recent remark credited to Maureen Esisi is anything to go by, then Chukwujekwu may be in what a fan described as ‘ small trouble’.

The ‘ small trouble,’ according to the fan, is from Maureen Esisi, the estranged wife of the Nollywood actor. In an Instagram post that went viral, Esisi claimed that the divorce proceedings between herself and the actor have not been concluded. Responding to a question posed by an Instagram follower on the status of their divorce, Esisi wrote: “Last I checked, I signed NO divorce papers.”

Another follower also asked her why she refused to sign the divorce papers if she was served, to which Esisi replied, “Wasn’t served any.”

The popular fashion designer further claimed the divorce proceedings between herself and the actor is not final. No words yet from Blossom Chukwujekwu on Esisi’s claim. While some observers say that they don’t expect the actor to reply Esisi, others say they can’t wait to read Chukwujekwu’s reply to the delectable Maureen Esisi.

More Trouble For Embattled Nollywood Actor Moses Armstrong

NOLLYWOOD actor Moses Armstrong, who was suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria ( AGN), for allegedly raping a 16- yearold girl, was arraigned before a Magistrate court in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on charges of rape and threat to life. The police on the allegation of raping a minor arrested the actor, a former aide to the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel.

However, in a statement signed by the AGN Director of Communications and actress, Monalisa Chinda, the AGN said the actor has been suspended from acting and the guild’s activities. According to the statement, the indefinite suspension became necessary following the investigation of the guild concerning the alleged rape incident.

The statement reads in part: “Actors Guild of Nigeria has been in the forefront of advocacy against violation of women, such as rape, molestation and all form of abuse; therefore, the allegation against Moses Armstrong is capable of tarnishing the good image and reputation of our noble Guild if the constitutional provisions of the Guild do not take urgent action.”

The statement noted that the actor’s suspension was based on facts emanating from the preliminary investigations conducted by the Guild on the allegation. The statement also noted that the suspension is a sad development, but nobody is above the law, especially on rape and abuse of women.

“Though we must protect our members when it comes to serious allegations, the law will have to take its course.”

The AGN further said that while on sus

pension, the actor is not expected to participate in any film production or Guild activities.

Meanwhile, a Magistrate Court in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has remanded Moses Armstrong, at the Correctional Facility. The judge, Moreen Udoka, granted the prosecution ex parte motion for remand and adjourned the matter to July 19 for filing of information. An actor of plenty credits, the Akwa Ibom State- born actor started his career 23 years ago.
