Burna Boy Again!

- With Justin Akpovi- Esade

WHEN Nigerian music star, Burna Boy told the world some time ago that

‘ all Nigerians’ smoke cannabis, popularly called ‘ Igbo’, T4T knew then that the young man was on the fast lane to notoriety.

And weeks after, he made another spurious and infantile claim that he was offered millions of dollars by some faceless ‘ African leaders’ to “stop singing about bad governance” in the continent. Then, the effect of the ‘ igbo’ was coming to the fore.

And just recently, the news broke that his armed police escort allegedly shot some club goers when a lady refused his advances inside a night club, Cubana.

The police, according to reports, have invited the singer for questioning while the suspected shooter has been arrested. Up till now, nobody has heard whether the singer honoured the police invitation or not. And T4T will bet his tuke tuke car that the case will die a natural death like most similar cases in the past. He is Burna Boy na, and not just one ‘ Felix’ or ‘ Akpos’.

The issue T4T wants to examine here is, why would the club security allow Burna Boy’s police escort to enter the club with a loaded gun? Does it mean that the internal security is weak? The guns of any VIP security are emptied of their magazines when they get inside the club, the magazines are returned when the guards are about exiting, just like it is done when boarding an aircraft, but then, it is Cubana we are talking about here and not a nite club in Las Vegas!

Let us picture a scenario. So many young men with means in Nigeria go about with armed police escorts, so if 20 of then decide to go to Cunana on a Friday night with their minimum of two armed police escorts, we will then have 40 policemen with AK rifles inside the bowel of the club in just one night!

How person go take dance comfortably na?

Obi, the owner of Cubana nite club has more to learn about the business of night clubbing. This was how someone was electrocuted the last time in the same Cubana!

T4T nor talk pass like dis o!
