God Wants All Souls Saved

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us- ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

-

he“But when saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. 37: Then saith he unto his disciples, the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few. 38: Pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest

IT is expedient for believers across the world to await the rapture of the saints. While doing this, they should understand that our Lord Jesus Christ died for the salvation of mankind and spread the gospel. According to God’s plan and programme, no man should be allowed to suffer in the hands of the Devil and his agents in hell fire. The concluding parts of the lead scripture clearly say: “Not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” There are three aspects of God’s will: the first is His sovereign will ( He is completely independent and has the ability to do all things. There is no power that can challenge Him); the second is His moral will, the moral law ( the perfect law that accepts everybody that believes in Him and obeys His words); and the third is His desires or will coming from His love. It is this God’s love that made our Lord Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world, so that, all men can be saved as written in John 3: 16 saying: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him will not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The nature of God is love; as such He has offered salvation to all men irrespective of race. For as long as one keys into the sacrificial death of our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary, he/ she will be saved. As far as one lives holy and accepts and believes that through the Crucifixion of the innocent and sinless Son of God his/ her eternal life in heaven is assured. God created the first man and made provisions for his comfort in the Garden of Eden. The essence of creating man is for him to serve God. Even when our first parents, Adam and Eve violated the divine instruction and committed sin, God still opened another window through which man should be saved and lives eternal life. These reasons are enough to prove to all men that God loves mankind and wants all to be saved. 1Timothy 2: 3- 4 says: “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour. 4: Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

God is our Saviour and our Lord Jesus Christ is His only Begotten Son, both of them are the same. If you encounter the Son, you have equally seen the Father or the other way round. We should, therefore, put our faith in God and His Son, Jesus Christ, who is the mediator and through whom we meet God, the Father. We must understand that God wants all men to be saved. He demands for our worship, which is the purpose he created us. Our salvation and eternal life in heaven is more important than the blessings of the world. Our service and worship to God must not be based on earthly blessings, but to serve God for whom He is. God loved us even when we were sinners. He had promised eternal life in heaven and the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to rapture the saints.
