Badaru, Buni, Zulum dissolve cabinets in Jigawa, Yobe, Borno

Aof today’s inaugurati­on of new administra­tions across the federation, Governor Badaru of jigawa State has dissolved his cabinet and commission­ed projects worth millions of naira.

The decision paves way for fresh leadership, as governor- elect and immediate past deputy governor, Umar Namadi, assumes office.

The new chief executive thanked his boss for the trust reposed in him, assuring the people of his commitment to build on achievemen­ts of the outgoing administra­tion.

“I am honoured to have been elected as the next governor of Jigawa State. I will build on the foundation laid by Governor Badaru Abubakar and work tirelessly to fulfil the aspiration­s of our people,” he promised.

Both politician­s have pledged to collaborat­e closely to guarantee a seamless transition and uninterrup­ted governance.

IN Yobe State, Governor Mai

Mala Buni, at the weekend, dissolved his 20- member State Executive Council ( SEC) and relieved all political appointees of their duties.

Secretary to the State Government ( SSG), Baba Wali, directed the affected officials to hand over to the Permanent Secretary, Administra­tion.

Director- General, Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, disclosed in Damaturu, that the Chief of Staff to the Governor has been directed to handover to the most senior officer in

Government House.

He said permanent secretarie­s are ordered to oversee affairs of their ministries.

Mohammed added that the former SSG, who is chairman of the inaugurati­on committee and other members are to continue with their job pending Buni’s inaugurati­on and his deputy, Idi Gubana, for a second and final term in office.

The governor, therefore, commended the erstwhile commission­ers and political appointees for serving the state creditably.
