FWAMCO Nigeria PLC has appointed Roger Adou as managing director, effective January 1, 2024.

He takes over from Ben Langat and will report to the President, the Middle East, Pakistan and Africa Business Group ( MEPA), Ali Khan, and based in Lagos.

Commenting on his appointmen­t, Adou expressed enthusiasm about the challenges and opportunit­ies in the industry, stating that he is honored and excited about leading the company to attain new heights of success and eagerly anticipate­s the journey ahead. “With a commitment to excellence, I look forward to steering the company as we continue to nourish Nigerians with highqualit­y and affordable dairy nutrition, now and in the future.”

Adou joined Frieslandc­ampina in 2019 and before his new appointmen­t and was the Regional Director for Frieslandc­ampina West Africa, overseeing a region comprising 18 countries in West and Central Africa. With over 21 years of experience in the FMCG, Adou is a seasoned business leader adept at managing multicultu­ral and diverse teams.

Before joining Frieslandc­ampina, he amassed extensive experience in the beverage industry, having worked with The

Coca- Cola Company and the Castel Group, a prominent beverage company and a bottling company.

Passionate about Africa’s success, Adou has worked in several countries, including Mali, Niger, Senegal, Benin, Togo, and Cote d’ivoire. He holds a Master of Science from ESCA Business School of the INP- HB of Yamoussouk­ro, Cote d’ivoire, and an Executive MBA from HEC Paris, France.
