Microtutor deploys AI to bridge education gaps

- By Adelowo Adebumiti

MICROTUTOR, a platform for creating learning delivery systems, is set to bridge education divides by harnessing the power of Artificial intelligence.

The framework, designed by Lead Architect, GPT- Desk Project and Founder, Microtutor AI, Tomiwa Adefokun, is to make learning effective and accessible to all, regardless of their social or economic background.

Adefokun noted that the integration of AI in education has opened new avenues for personalised learning.

He added that microtutor is leveraging technology to transcend traditional onesize- fits- all teaching methods.

“At the heart of microtutor is the combination of AI- driven personalisation and the concept of micro- learning.

This method involves breaking down educational content into small, digestible units, making it easier for learners to understand and retain information.

“The AI tutors adapt these micro- lessons to suit the pace of each learner, making education not only more accessible, but also more engaging,” he added.

By providing personalised education through AI, Adefokun said the platform makes quality learning experiences equitable and accessible to all, irrespective of background, while empowering educators with tools to reach and engage a diverse student population, and also generate customised learning materials.

“For learners, microtutor provides access to education tailored to individual preferences, fostering an inclusive learning environment. This dual empowerment of educators and students is crucial for driving social change through learning and enhancing educational experiences,” he said.

The Dean, College of Natural and Applied Sciences, Crawford University, Igbesa, Folashade Agbaje- Daniels, hailed the platform for enhancing learning, personalised education, efficiency, accessibility, and data- driven insights.
