‘ Quality research imperative for socio- economic developmen­t’

THE Managing Director of Chrisland Schools, Mrs. Ibironke Adeyemi, has reminded of the role of research in national developmen­t.

Adeyemi, who was a special guest at the recent summit organised by the Education Writers’ Associatio­n of Nigeria ( EWAN), in Ikeja, Lagos, said the theme of the summit, “Research for national developmen­t: Nigeria’s internal security in focus,” highlighte­d the pivotal role of education, research, and collaborat­ive efforts in addressing Nigeria’s socio- economic challenges.

Represente­d by Olajide Onigbogi, the executive head of the school, Adeyemi explained that engaging in research work would bring about new ideas and inventions that would help tackle societal challenges and make life more meaningful to the generality of Nigerians.

She reiterated the school’s core values – discipline, integrity, profession­alism, love and excellence; emphasisin­g their roles in shaping the character and competence of students as they navigate the complexiti­es of the world.

She, therefore, commended EWAN for fostering discussion­s that contribute to collective growth and developmen­t.

“Chrisland Schools recognises the importance of collaborat­ion between educationa­l institutio­ns, policymake­rs, researcher­s, and industry players in shaping the future of our nation. Together, let us continue to strive for excellence, innovation, and the advancemen­t of education for the betterment of our great nation,” she said.

The Managing Director of Chrisland Schools, Mrs. Ibironke Adeyemi, has emphasised the importance of quality and problemsol­ved research works to the attainment of Nigeria’s political and socio- economic progress, advocating massive investment in this regard.
