‘ Quality research imperative for socio- economic development’

THE Managing Director of Chrisland Schools, Mrs. Ibironke Adeyemi, has reminded of the role of research in national development.

Adeyemi, who was a special guest at the recent summit organised by the Education Writers’ Association of Nigeria ( EWAN), in Ikeja, Lagos, said the theme of the summit, “Research for national development: Nigeria’s internal security in focus,” highlighted the pivotal role of education, research, and collaborative efforts in addressing Nigeria’s socio- economic challenges.

Represented by Olajide Onigbogi, the executive head of the school, Adeyemi explained that engaging in research work would bring about new ideas and inventions that would help tackle societal challenges and make life more meaningful to the generality of Nigerians.

She reiterated the school’s core values – discipline, integrity, professionalism, love and excellence; emphasising their roles in shaping the character and competence of students as they navigate the complexities of the world.

She, therefore, commended EWAN for fostering discussions that contribute to collective growth and development.

Together, let us continue to strive for excellence, innovation, and the advancement of education for the betterment of our great nation,” she said.
