AN aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), Olusola Oke ( SAN), has said that with him flying the flag of the party at the November governorship election in Ondo State, members of the opposition People's Democratic Party ( PDP) and Labour Party ( LP) will mobilise support for him.

Oke emphasised that his antecedents in the state, as well as being a grassroots politician, put him in a good stead to clinch the ticket of the party during the primaries in April.

The legal luminary, who spoke with newsmen in Akure, the state capital, said that though the state is in a state of decay, a leader with the required capacity to rescue it was needed.

Oke, who described himself as a party man, maintained that before the demise of the late former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, he had informed him of his desire to run as governor, as well as Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

IMILARLY, chieftains and members of the APC in Ondo North Senatorial District of the state, at the weekend, vowed to rally support for Aiyedatiwa ahead of the governorship polls.

According to them, the endorsement of Aiyedatiwa became imperative for the governor to build on the legacies of his late boss, former Governor Akeredolu.

The APC faithful, during a meeting held at Oka- Akoko, Akoko South West Local Council of the state, said that as governor, Aiyedatiwa had been able to ensure peace and stability in the party.

A Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omole, who spoke on behalf of the leaders, said that the endorsement of the governor aligned with the aspirations of the majority of the people within the axis.
