IMILARLY, terrorists have killed one person and injured another during an attack, on Sunday night, in Katsalle community,

Kankara Local Council of Katsina State.

The Guardian learnt that the terrorists also abducted many women and children, with community members, yesterday, trying to ascertain the exact number of the victims.

A source said the terrorists killed a middle- aged man simply identified as Mallam Mustapha, and injured another called Mallam Rabiu.

Rabiu’s house was reportedly ransacked and set ablaze by the terrorists.

The source also said that women and children were kidnapped and whisked into the forest on motorcycles by the marauders.

Kankara is among council areas in the state facing incessant security challenges due to activities of terrorists, rustlers and kidnappers.

Hundreds of lives have been lost, injured or kidnapped in recent times in the affected areas, all of which share a border with a forest reserve that serves as terrorists’ hideout.

As at press time, yesterday, spokesperson for the police command in the state, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, had yet to respond to inquiry on the incident.
