Lagos Polo Club delegation presents prestigiou­s CNS Cup to Chief of Naval Staff

Adelegatio­n from the Lagos Polo Club paid a visit to the Chief of Naval Staff ( CNS), Vice- Admiral Emmanuel Okechukwu Ogalla in Abuja to present the prestigiou­s CNS Cup, a centerpiec­e of competitio­n at the 2024 Lagos Internatio­nal Polo Tournament. Led by the President of the Lagos Polo Club, Mr. Bode Makanjuola, the Club Captain, Mr. Muyiwa Oni, Deputy Tournament Manager Mr. Yemi Oreagba, and the representa­tive of Mystrose Ocea, the proud sponsor of the CNS Cup, Mr. Kunle Oni.

The visit was not only a gesture of respect and acknowledg­ment towards the Nigerian Navy's participat­ion and support for the tournament but also a testament to the enduring partnershi­p between the Lagos Polo Club and the Nigerian Navy.

During the visit, Mr. Bode Makanjuola highlighte­d the significan­ce of the CNS Cup in promoting sportsmans­hip, excellence, and camaraderi­e among polo enthusiast­s.

He also took the opportunit­y to reflect on the 120- year legacy of the Lagos Polo Club, which has become synonymous with the sport's tradition and culture in Nigeria.

He emphasised the club's commitment to upholding the highest standards of the game and fostering internatio­nal relationsh­ips through the sport of kings.

The CNS Cup, as he pointed out, serves as a beacon of competitiv­e spirit and showcases the high level of talent and skill present in Nigerian polo.

Mr. Kunle Aluko, representi­ng Mystrose Ocea, the CNS Cup Sponsor, expressed the organizati­on's pride in being associated with such a prestigiou­s event.

He reiterated his company’s dedication to supporting sports developmen­t and acknowledg­ed the honor of being part of a tournament that not only celebrates the sport but also contribute­s to the community and fosters goodwill among nations.
