' Africa is fastest- growing crypto market'
THE Director of 3.0 Verse ( Digital Asset Universe) Mayur Poddar has said Africa is the fastest- growing crypto market.
According to him, the opportunity cryptocurrency presents shows that the potential to generate income at a much higher scale is guaranteed.
He noted that technology adoption is faster in Nigeria compared to other parts of the globe.
Poddar stated this at a stakeholders’ conference tagged ' 3.0 Verse summit 2024- Africa edition' held in Lagos.
The summit underscored the transformative power of crypto adoption in Nigeria and emphasized the continent's position as an emerging force in the global crypto ecosystem.
Poddar, who boasted of 17 years in financial markets, specialising in cutting- edge tech for financial brokers and institutions, reiterated that the economic potential of blockchain industry is massive in terms of such opportunities.
“We have over three million plus users and that is three per cent of the entire 100 million market share. We hope that in two years we should have 10 per cent of the market share and have 50 per cent trading volumes,” he stated.
Justifying the need for the summit, Poddar said the interface and discussion session are intended to offer informed perspectives for old and prospective investors of blockchain assets.
A Financial market analyst in the digital space, Michael Damilanre Bello, explained the benefits of using 3.0 Verse for trading.
"3.0 Verse is very different and one reason why I like this is because it's been made very easy for aspiring traders, users and people who have not been to digital space before as they can easily take it and find their way successfully around the app and get beautiful returns," he said.
Bello further applauded the Federal Government and Lagos State government for supporting the digital world.
