Air Force, NAMA Collaborat­ing To Ensure Safer Skies, Says Abubakar

TChief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has said that the synerg y between the Nigerian Air Force ( NAF) and the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency ( NAMA) would ensure safer skies.

The air chief made the disclosure when the NAMA boss visited him at the Air Force Headquarte­rs, Abuja. Abubakar recounted the existing cordial relationsh­ip between the two organisati­ons, which he noted has enhanced the security of Nigeria’s air space.

According to the CAS, “our collaborat­ion can reach new heights and our combined efforts can lead to even safer andsecures­kiesinourb­eloved country. We must, therefore, maintain this trajectory and seek better avenues to enhance our collaborat­ion.” He reassured the NAMA boss of NAF’S commitment to solidifyin­g and strengthen­ing the existing relationsh­ip between NAMA and the NAF. Abubakar also used the occasion of the visit to congratula­te Umar Farouq on his appointmen­t, which he described as well- deserved.

“Indeed, judging by your pedigree, outstandin­g performanc­e and wealth of experience in the aviation industry, I have no doubt that you will take the agency to greater heights,” he noted.

The NAMA chief executive, on his part, reiterated the commitment of the agency to seek innovative ways and solutions to enhance their collaborat­ive efforts at safeguardi­ng the Nigerian air space.

Farouq noted the crucial role of NAMA in safeguardi­ng the nation’s airspace while also appreciati­ng the existing cooperatio­n between both organisati­ons on various fronts.
