TTP awaits approval to deploy e- tags at Lagos ports

-

TTransit Parks ( TTP) Limited has said it is awaiting government approval to deploy Radio- Frequency Identification ( RFID)/ E- tags and the E- Callup Interchange Transaction Number ( EITN) at the Apapa and Tin Can ports to further ease truck mobility challenges and enhance efficiency within the maritime industry.

The company said this latest innovation will help to streamline truck movements within the Lagos ports, improve security and access control as well as prevent illegal crisscrossing of trucks between terminals.

The Managing Director and Co- founder of TTP Limited, Jama Onwubuariri, stated this as the company celebrates its third operations anniversary, while reflecting on industry impact and future opportunities.

He said Nigeria’s social and economic challenges present a fertile ground for innovation, adding that TTP has seized the opportunity to leverage technology to address these challenges. Onwubuariri said the technology solution company has emerged as a key player in driving port terminal efficiency, reducing traffic congestion, and creating new business opportunities within the Apapa port economic zone.

He said TTP has also provided solutions that maximise business opportunities for stakeholders while reducing carbon emissions and improving efficiency with its technology solutions

Onwubuariri said the company celebrates not only its three- year journey of innovation and growth but also reflects on the significant impact it has made in the maritime and logistics industry.
