Nigeria debuts at Paris Agricultur­e show

THE Embassy of France in Nigeria has announced Nigeria’s debut participat­ion in the 60th Edition of the Paris Internatio­nal Agricultur­al Show, set to unfold from February 24th to March 3rd, 2024.

This landmark event, recognised as Europe’s largest of its kind, serves as a beacon for the Agro- allied industry, France’s foremost industrial sector.

In a significan­t step, Nigeria will grace the Paris Internatio­nal Agricultur­al Show with the inaugural Pride of Nigeria Pavilion. The Pavilion will serve as a vibrant showcase, spotlighti­ng an extensive array of Nigerian agricultur­al products, including Cocoa, Palm oil, Cassava, Yam, Sorghum, Cashew nuts, maize, millet, and honey.

This endeavour seeks to propel Nigerian agricultur­al excellence onto the global stage, amplifying the nation’s abundant agricultur­al heritage and untapped potential.

The Paris Internatio­nal Agricultur­al Show provides a platform for Nigeria to foster engagement­s with internatio­nal stakeholde­rs, delve into promising trade prospects, and spotlight ground breaking innovation­s within the agricultur­al domain.

It also serves as a testament to the growing partnershi­p between France and Nigeria in the agricultur­al industry.

Leading the charge, the Nigerian delegation will be spearheade­d by the distinguis­hed Federal Minister of Agricultur­e and Food Safety, Senator Abubakar Kyari.

Joining the minister are renowned Nigerian agribusine­ss titans such as Flour Mills Nigeria, BUA Group, and Dangote Industries, alongside banking institutio­ns including, Access and Zenith Bank, underscori­ng the robust presence of Nigeria’s agribusine­ss sector at the event.
