FCV Academy to scout for talents at Gladiator Camp

TOP coaches from United Kingdom- based FCV Internatio­nal Football Academy are expected in Nigeria to scout for talents at the second Gladiator Camp, which will hold at the Grange School, Lagos from April 1 to 5.

According to the Head of Marketing at FCV Academy, Sam Nicholls, top outstandin­g players at the one- week camp would be awarded scholarshi­ps to the academy in the UK, just as the participan­ts at the camp would be taught the basics of the sport. Nicholls said: “The camp will be unique as it will provide participan­ts the opportunit­y to receive elite level coaching from experience­d coaches and former profession­al footballer­s in England, as well as hear from our Head of Admission what FCV Internatio­nal Football Academy offers to Nigerian students and the opportunit­ies available.”

On the gains of the camp, he said: “Nigerian students participat­ing at the camp will get the opportunit­y to develop their football skills and techniques under the guidance of our UEFA qualified coaches as well as gain tactical knowledge and awareness that will allow them to take their game to the next level.

“This camp provides the participan­ts with the opportunit­y to improve and develop their football skills and knowledge through elite coaches’ sessions delivered by our coaching team. It also provides the participan­ts with an insight into what life is like at FCV Internatio­nal Football Academy and how they could benefit by enrolling with us and taking the next steps in their football developmen­t,” Nicholls said.
