WINNERMAN INNE Utomi is not a popular name in the movie space, but when w his action- packed pack thriller, Issakaba Issakab hits the cinemas cin in the coming months, his name will definitely ring a bell. Utomi is the executive producer of

a remake of the film, which hit the movie theatre during the reign of Bakassi Boys, a group of Nigerian youth vigilantes, who held the South East of Nigeria bound with their activities. The film happens to be his first ever movie project.

Before delving into filmmaking, the Delta Stateborn producer said he was a serial entrepreneur with interests in various spheres of the economy.

Following his passion to tell real African stories to the rest of the world, Utomi did not hesitate to strike a deal with the popular film director, Lancelot Imasuen, to remake the iconic Issakaba.

“For an average Nigerian, he said the bulk of what we know about America is through their movies. There’s a need for us to share with the world our authentic and unique stories, our people and rich diverse culture and traditions. Every African is a walking ‘ story’. And that birthed L. I. A. M Studios, which is an acronym Life is a Movie,” he said.

Utomi whose biggest mentors are Lancelot Imasuen and Sam Dede, said: “I draw inspiration from people who have mastered their crafts.”

Being his first movie project, Utomi said Issakaba Returns as “a masterclass in excitement, featuring heart- racing action, intense drama and suspense that will keep you guessing until the very end.”
