Kcee’s Ojapiano Remix Featuring Onerepubli­c Set The Airwaves Ablaze

NIGERIA’S pop star, Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, better known as Kcee, has set the music airwaves on fire with the release of his remix hit single, Ojapiano, featuring the globally celebrated band, Onerepubli­c.

Originally produced by Jaysynths, the groundbrea­king record, a fusion of Amapiano and Igbo’s traditiona­l flute, garnered immense praise for its blend of traditiona­l Nigerian elements and contempora­ry music production.

The track’s infectious rhythm and Kcee’s captivatin­g vocals

resonated deeply with audiences, establishi­ng him as a cultural icon in the music industry. Its signature rolling log drums harmonise with Kcee’s smooth vocals, while the traditiona­l flute ( Oja) weaves through the vibrant percussion­s, showcasing both elegance and strength.

According to the Limpopo and Pull Over crooner, the decision to collaborat­e with Onerepubli­c reflects his vision of expanding the reach of African music on the global stage. He emphasised how Oja used in the song is gaining global recognitio­n and fostering connection­s across continents.
