Talent Alone Isn't Enough In The Music Industry— Ehili

- By Daniel Anazia

NIGERIAN musicpreneur, Ehi Destiny Adams, popularly known as Ehiii, has said that talent alone isn’t enough in the music industry, but averred that success in the music industry requires a combination of talent, hard work, determination, and strategic thinking.

Ehiii made this known in a chat with The Guardian, whilst discussing the harsh realities of the music industry and the importance of more than talent for success. He shares his insights on why talent alone isn’t enough to make it in the fiercely competitive music world.

Buttressing his assertion with his meteoric rise from a local rapper to global sensation, Ehiii stated that the challenges aspiring artistes face in the industry demands more than just musical prowess.

“Many talented artistes assume that their skills alone will propel them to stardom. But the truth is, talent is just one piece of the puzzle. Success in the music industry requires a combination of talent, hard work, determination, and strategic thinking,” Ehiii remarked

Drawing from his experiences, he emphasized the importance of building a strong brand and establishing a solid business foundation. “As artistes, we must not only focus on creating great music but also on building our brand, connecting with our audience, and navigating the business side of the industry,” he explained.

His entrepreneurial spirit has propelled him to new heights as a musician and as the CEO of Go Hard Records. Through his record label, he provides a platform for emerging artists to showcase their talent and thrive in an industry that often overlooks raw potential.

Ehiii’s journey proves the power of perseverance and strategic planning in a landscape where overnight success stories are few and far between. “It’s important for artistes to stay focused, stay true to themselves, and never lose sight of their goals. Work hard, stay humble, and never stop pushing yourself to be the best you can be,” he counselled.
