Ogun Govt To Resolve NURTW, OGSPAM Crisis, Restore Stable Union Activities

• Assures Clerics On Agbado-oke Aro- Akute Road, Says 16km Already Completed

THE Ogun State Government said it is determined to resolve the crisis that broke out between the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and the Ogun State Park Management Board (OGSPAM) recently.

Commission­er for Transporta­tion, Dairo Olugbenga, who spoke on the crisis, said efforts were made by state officials and other stakeholde­rs towards restoratin­g peaceful transport activities across the state. “Yes, there was a crisis, and we have been able to stabilise it. On behalf of the governor , I want to use this medium to appreciate the security agencies for the roles they played, the various union leaders as well as other stakeholde­rs and well meaning citizens of the state that came together to ensure there is peace in Ogun State,” he said. of the state for any inconvenie­nces the crisis might have caused them, Dairo noted that the government, based on its observatio­ns, would set in motion the needed steps to stab ilise the system. Meanwhile, the government, on Friday, said it is already working on the rehabilita­tion of Agbado-oke Aro-akute Road.

The government was reacting to a video that captured 500 pastor surging governor Da po ab iod unto rehabilita­te the road in fulfilment of his re-election pledge.

In a statement issued by the state Commission­er for Works and Infrastruc­ture, Ad eA kin san ya, the state government,affirmed that it had never shirked its responsibi­lities in the area of road constructi­on, having constructe­d over 600 kilometres of roads since coming on board in 2019.”
