FCV Gladiator Football Camp Begins April 1 In Lagos

THE second edition of the FCV Gladiator Football Camp will begin at Grange School Lagos on April 1 and end on April 5 with top coach from the United Kingdom on hand for the exercise.

According to the organisers of the camp, Dynaspro Promotions Limited, who are collaborat­ing with UK- based FCV Internatio­nal Academy, the top coaches have arrived in the country of Monday’s opening of the programme.

Dynaspro Promotions said the camp is aimed at unearthing talents with four outstandin­g students expected to be awarded scholarshi­ps by the organisers.

The organisers said that the Nigeria Olympic Committee ( NOC) is expected to be part of the one- week camp to tutor participan­ts on Olympic Values Education Programme ( OVEP) based on the Olympic philosophy that learning helps the balanced developmen­t of body and mind.

Ex- Super Eagles star, Mutiu Adepoju and ace sportscast­er, Deji Omotoyinbo, will act as mentors, while the three top UK coaches, led by former Leicester City defender, Grant Brown, will take charge of proceeding­s at the camp.

Head of Marketing at FCV Internatio­nal Academy, Sam Nicholls, said the camp would be unique as it would provide participan­ts opportunit­y to receive elite level coaching from experience­d coaches and former profession­al footballer­s in England.

He added: “Nigerian students participat­ing at the camp will get the opportunit­y to develop their football skills and techniques under the guidance of our UEFA qualified coaches, as well as gain tactical knowledge and awareness that will allow them to take their game to the next level.”
