GOVERNOR Babajide Olusola Sanwo- Olu has pledged timely completion of interventionist projects in Epe.

He reiterated his administration’s determination to harness Epe’s tourism and growth potentials through the provision of adequate infrastructure.

Sanwo- Olu spoke through his Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Olufemi Daramola during an on- thespot assessment of some projects in Epe.

Daramola said the governor has decided to prioritise the rehabilitation, reconstruction and provision of essential infrastructures in Epe as part of his determination to extend infrastructure development to every part of the state, thereby promoting economic development and improving the living conditions of the people.

According to him, a key quality of the present administration is the policy of inclusiveness, not leaving any part of the state behind and that is why “we have come to see for ourselves the road infrastructure and relocation projects that will boost and improve local socio- economic activities and complement the growth potential of Epe.”

Daramola said the government is poised and resolute to touch every nook and crannies of the state and extend development to inner parts of the metropolis.

Some of the Projects visited were Marina- Obafemi Awolowo Road- Epe Local Council Junction ( Ita Marun), Marina- Awolowo Road with a dual carriageway and the relocation of the Marine Police Post at Epe Marina Road as well as the EtiOsa/ Lekki/ Epe Expressway Phase 2b among others. He said the construction of the road will improve road connectivity in Epe. According to him, Marina–

Obafemi Awolowo Road is a major strategic infrastructure to harness the tourism potential of Epe and indeed to stimulate the growth of other satellite settlements within the division.

On a visit to the part of the Eti- Osa/ Lekki/ Epe Expressway Phase 2b road project, the Special Adviser agreed that commuting to Epe from Victoria Island has taken a new shape as work on the project is steadily progressing.

He added that residents along the Lekki - Epe corridor have started to heave sighs of relief as the reconstruction of the Expressway nears completion.
