Eid- el- Fitr: Abiodun, Fayemi, Makinde, Aiyedatiwa felicitate with Muslim faithful

OGUN State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has admonished Nigerians to be hopeful for a better Nigeria with prayers from both Christians and Muslims.

The governor also commended the peaceful coexistenc­e among the various religious bodies in the state, which has paved the way for seamless governance in the Gateway State. Abiodun, in a statement to mark the Eid- el- Fitr ( end of Ramadan), acknowledg­ed the support of religious groups to the success of his administra­tion, even as he preached love, understand­ing, unity and peaceful coexistenc­e among the people of the state.

He urged the Muslims to let the lessons of the Ramadan period, including patience, self- discipline and kindness, guide their daily lives.

N the same vein, the immediate- past governor of Ekiti State and former Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum ( NGF), Dr Kayode Fayemi, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim community in the country on the Eid- el- Fitr celebratio­n.

Fayemi said the

IEid- el- Fitr does not only signify the end of the month- long Ramadan fasting but embodies the spirit of unity, compassion and generosity. LSO, Oyo State Governor, ' Seyimakind­e, has felicitate­d with the Muslim Ummah in the state on the completion of the Holy Month of Ramadan and the Eid- el- Fitr celebratio­n. Makinde prayed to Allah to accept the worship of the Muslim Ummah as an act of Ibadah, just as he called on them to use the opportunit­y of the season to make more supplicati­ons to Allah ( SWT) over the situation of the

Astate and the country. EANWHILE, Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who congratula­ted the Muslim Ummah on the celebratio­n of Eid- elFitr, prayed that this year's Eid would bring blessings, peace, and prosperity for all Muslim faithful.

He implored the Muslim community in the state to rekindle their commitment to unity and love for fellow residents.

The governor, in his Eid- elFitri message through his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, expressed optimism for sustained peaceful coexistenc­e in the state.
