LASACO, brokers partner on service delivery

LASACO Assurance Plc has collaborat­ed with insurance brokers for better serv - ice delivery to policyhold­ers. T o attain this, the underwrite­r hosted the management of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers ( NCRIB) where they explored how best to team up with brokers to serve customers better amidst the current economic realities. Speaking at the meeting, the Managing Director of the insurance firm, Razzaq Abiodun, said the continuous collaborat­ion with brokers would be of much benefit to insurance customers.

Abiodun believes that the current economic situation in the country poses a big challenge to the growth of insurance businesses and challenges insurance providers to be more proactive in coming up with creative strategies that could make their customers survive the hardship with relative ease.

He explained that Lasaco Assurance hosted the council members to service the brokerage subsector more efficientl­y.

For insurance businesses to grow, he said, practition­ers should always evolve ways of protecting the interests of their customers by seeking improved productivi­ty and customer satisfacti­on through collaborat­ion and the exchange of ideas that could enable them to operate optimally and give consumers the needed satisfacti­on.

Through the relationsh­ip with NCRIB, he said, Lasaco Assurance would be able to enhance the skills of its employees through local and internatio­nal training, adding that the company would also become an active participan­t in NCRIB events.

The handshake would also encourage the company to engage more in better customer experience to enhance customer engagement as well as encourage it to be more profession­al by being stricter with the code of conduct of the insurance industry.

Speaking on behalf of his team, NCRIB President, Babatunde Oguntade said his organisati­on chose to visit LASACO because of the company’s strong commitment to customer satisfacti­on and continuous support for the council.
