NIHOTOUR, HATMAN To Host 2024 Tourism and Hospitalit­y Management Workshop

TAILORED for management- level profession­als in the tourism and hospitalit­y sector, the National Institute for Hospitalit­y and Tourism ( NIHOTOUR), and Hospitalit­y and Tourism Management Associatio­n of Nigeria ( HATMAN), have concluded arrangemen­ts to jointly host the 2024 edition of Tourism and Hospitalit­y Management Workshop.

The NIHOTOUR and HATMAN immersive workshops are designed to empower leaders to navigate challenges and seize opportunit­ies in Nigeria’s tourism and hospitalit­y sectors. Over the years, NIHOTOUR and HATMAN have regularly collaborat­ed personnel capacity developmen­t training programmes with deep dive into industry insights, strategic management skills, and career growth opportunit­ies.

The 2024 edition which is billed to hold in Asaba, the Delta State capital on Monday, April 15, 2024 would be attended by tour operators, travel agents, tour guides, recreation and parks operators, resorts managers, hoteliers, caterers, event handlers, clubs, and lounge operators in Nigeria.

The workshop parades an array of renowned Nigerian tourism technocrat­s and hospitalit­y industry experts including Dr. Lilian Managwu, Dr. Eric Mekwuye, Aguele Omolara, Gbenga Sunday, Chibuikem Diala, Justina Ovat, among others.

The facilitato­rs will be led by the Director General of NIHOTOUR, Nura Sani Kangiwa and the President of HATMAN, Mr. Samson Aturu.

At the end of the Tourism and Hospitalit­y Management Workshop, participan­ts will be given NIHOTOUR profession­al certificat­es and will be inducted as members of Hospitalit­y and Tourism Management Associatio­n of Nigeria ( HATMAN).

NIHOTOUR is the lead parastatal of the Federal Government of Nigeria that is empowered by an Act of Parliament to Train, Certify and Register all personnel in Nigeria’s hospitalit­y, travel, and tourism sectors.
