Official Selection Of 77th Cannes Filmfest Unveiled FTER
Aa long wait, films of the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival were revealed at a media briefing on April 11. The festival is scheduled to hold as from May 14 to 25 2024 and French actress Camille Cottin has been announced as mistress of the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the usually well attended festival that would have the filmmaker Greta Gerwig as President of the jury. Among the big films unveiled, big names in French cinema such as Audiard, Coppola, Lellouche, and a new comedy by Quentin Dupieux will show at the opening. Delroy Lindo Makes A Return In Jordan, Coogler’s Anticipated Thriller
HULU’S Unprisoned start, Delroy Lindo, is making his return to the cinema. The Netflix’s The Harder They Fall star has sealed a deal with Michael B. Jordan in Ryan Coogler’s ( who directed our 2018 ‘ Centerpiece’ film, Marvel’s, Black Panther) mysterious supernatural horror thriller, set to be brought to life by Warner Bros.
Details about this project remain a mystery, yet whispers according to PAF. com hint at a tale unfolding in the Jim Crow- era South, weaving together tails of vampires and Southern supernatural traditions. Speculation suggests Jordan may be portraying twin brothers, adding an intriguing layer to the narrative. While Lindo’s role remains elusive, whispers through the industry suggest it carries a musical essence. With filming set to begin in New Orleans later this spring, the project has recently enlisted Jack O’connell to portray a menacing villain. Coogler, the visionary behind the script, also assumes production duties alongside his company, Proximity Media, with Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian joining the ranks of producers. First unveiled by The Hollywood Reporter in January, the project ignited a fierce bidding war, ultimately landing in the hands of Warner Bros., promising a unique deal granting certain rights to the filmmaker over the span of several decades.

O. J SIMPSON has died of cancer at age 76. The former NFL star and broadcaster’s athletic achievement and fame were eclipsed by his 1995 trial in the brutal killings of his ex- wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. Simpson assembled a defense for the trial and the proceedings captivated the country, with tens of millions of viewers tuning in at home and at work. According to PAF. com, the former running back was a household name at the time, having appeared in TV shows, movies and national ad campaigns after emerging as a star in college and professional football. In 1997, a civil trial jury unanimously deemed Simpson liable for the deaths and ordered him to pay $ 33.5 million in damages. He later served about nine years in prison for an unrelated case involving a memorabilia robbery in Las Vegas. He was released in 2017.
