T he metrosexua­l male is very meticulous about his grooming and appearance, typically spending a significan­t amount of time on how well he looks. you can’t help but notice or do a double take when you see a gentleman that has clearly taken the time to groom himself. Not so long ago, men were satisfied with the norm of how they looked but they have changed the customary way of how traditiona­l wears to three piece suits are worn. Men no longer just wear the usual oversized “buba and shokoto” but rather the new trend is limitless on how men add some form of swag to the way they look. We have a case of men blending the traditiona­l with the new contempora­ry styles.

There is a myth, propagated mostly by many that being a stylish man requires tremendous effort. A great pair of shoes is definitely a show stopper and it also sets the tone for your outfit. Brogues have a timeless appeal that can be paired with suits, jeans or even a casual pair of dress pants or chino slacks.

White Dress shirt: The white shirt is a must; it can be worn for any occasion and it always looks dapper when worn correctly. Depending on your body type, there are several shirt types from the slim fitting, casual to the regular fit with different cuff options that are either single or double cuffs for a distinguis­hed look especially when worn with a blazer and a tie.

A watch is a timeless accessory: Acquiring a less expensive classic watch is a good start and once you see the value, you can make a larger investment in something a little more vintage that is truly timeless and lifelong. Oversized watches are in style; designer details on the watch can be very eye catching and is a great conversati­onal piece that never goes out of style.

Loafers: It’s been said that a man’s shoes say a lot about him, a good loafer can set the mood for your entire day; they are very comfortabl­e and laid-back. What you choose to put on your feet actually says something about you. Loafers are an all year round essential and they are also a great piece especially with the traditiona­l wear.

A pair of sunglasses: The frames that suit every face, a pair of classic black sunglasses are a great foundation of your sunglasses collection. Outside of the fact that it is a simple yet stylish accessory; it can protect your eyes from a host of conditions caused by ultraviole­t rays. It also helps you stay sharp and squint-free whatever the season.

Dark blue denim: Denims are the most versatile item in your wardrobe that helps to build up your wardrobe. Dark blue can be worn with many different outfits; name brands are great but not an essential. A great pair of jeans is all about the quality, fit and look.
