Re­cently the muri Okunola Park came alive as three of Nige­ria’s big­gest stars – Simi, Adekunle Gold and Praiz brought their A-game in a 100% live per­for­mance com­ple­mented by a full live band. The show, which was its maiden edi­tion, fea­tured the best of al­ter­na­tive and main­stream mu­sic in a car­ni­val-like at­mos­phere and gave live mu­sic lovers who were present an un­for­get­table ex­pe­ri­ence. It kicked off with per­for­mances from D-Truce and Sammy, set­ting the mood for other fan­tas­tic per­for­mances to come. Praiz was the first of the head­line artist to hit the stage. He thrilled the crowd with a ren­di­tion of his hit songs, in­clud­ing ‘Sisi’,‘Rich and Fa­mous’, and more. Simi was next up. Sup­ported by her Ban­jos band, she be­gan with a per­for­mance of ‘Com­plete me’, be­fore running through ‘Smile For me’, ‘Owambe’, ‘Ai­masiko’, and ‘Joromi’. Adekunle Gold rounded off the show. Lit­er­ally clad in a golden out­fit, and backed by his band - The 79th El­e­ment - he took fans through his de­but al­bum, with songs such as ‘Ariwo Ko’, ‘Sade’, and more.
