It’s that time again when various styles and looks are being either revamped or launched. Though we do not necessarily follow the British weather, our looks and styles stay current with the global fashion calendar. For Spring/ Summer 2018, FUNKE BABS–KUFE

I know we don’t follow the British weather per se as we don’t have Spring, Summer, Winter or Autumn. But when it comes to the global fashion calendar, we tend to adhere to its fashion dictates. So with the Look of Summer 2018, it is only natural that we take note and reshuffle our wardrobes to get with the program so to speak. The good thing is, these are looks that can really last all year long because we are not at the mercy of the biting cold of winter! The worst we can get in this part of the world is rainy season and with such weather, we usually stay away from pants or maxis. What I like most is the wide variety of choices showcased in this edition. So there really is no excuse to not ‘get the memo’ next time you are stepping out. Aside from being on point when it comes to clothes, there is another area that can be a bit of a bother if not done properly. Have you ever seen women whose faces seem ‘to leak’ when the weather is hot and humid? It literally looks as if their faces are melting and no matter how much they pat it down with whatever comes in handy at the time, the leakage never seems to stop. And you stare at them wondering why their faces have‘given way’when other faces next to them are still intact! What it simply means is that they are not using the right foundation. In the recent The Headies Award 2018, the hostess, Seyi Shay reportedly changed five times through the night. Now, that what I would call well synchronized timing. All the looks were not only different but so were the hairstyles! If she can do that within a short space of time, I see no reason why it should still take some of us women hours to get ready. It is one of my pet peeves I must admit.
