It was a roll call of ‘who is who’ in Nigeria at the launch of the book “Africa Rise and Shine” authored by Jim Ovia, Chairman and Founder, Zenith Bank Plc, at Eko Hotel Convention Centre, VI, Lagos.
There was pump and pageantry on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, the venue of the launch of the acclaimed book, which details how Jim Ovia, the Chairman and Founder of Zenith Bank Plc built and took the bank from scratch to the global brand it is today.
The event, which had in attendance Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo; APC Chairman, Adams Oshiomole; APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Governors of Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Taraba, Vol. 22, No. 8557 Sunday, September 30, 2018 Ondo, Delta, Borno as well as the Governor-Elect of Ekiti State, Ministers, Captains of Industries, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Traditional Rulers, Nollywood stars, and the distinguished and foremost accounting icon, Mr Akintola Williams,
was chaired by the distinguished elder statesman and industrialist, Dr. Christopher Kolade.
Among other highlights, the event witnessed the select reading of sections of the book by Captains of industries including Alhaji Aliko Dangote (GCON), who was represented by his daughter, Halimat Aliko Dangote; Mrs Folorunsho Alakija, Mr Tony Elumelu (CON), Mr Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede (CON), Mr. John Momoh (OON) and Mr Nduka Obaigbena to name a few.
