PAC Asset Management(PACAM) Limited has said investors stand to benefit significantly from the on-going N1bilion PACAM Balanced Fund, mutual fund. The company has therefore urged the investing public to patronise the fund.
Managing Director of PAC Asset Management Limited, Mr. David Okwuadigbo, who made the call in Lagos said the fund, which opened on February 4 and is expected to close on March 13, 2015, offers investors such benefits like diversification of portfolio for risk reduction, outstanding portfolio management by seasoned professionals and liquidity and ease of entry and exit at all times thereby allowing opportunity to increase investment at regular intervals.
He added that the fund also offers economics of scale as it reduces cost as a result of high volume of transaction.
“Besides, the investment can also be used to build up funds for specific future events/schemes like starting a business, sending children to college, financing purchase of a home or any other asset. It can also be used as collateral to secure credit facilities,” he said.
According to him, the fund is also safe and transparent as the fund manager provides regular information about the current value of the investment along with their strategy and outlook to give clear picture of how investments are doing.
“The PACAM Balanced Fund is a diversified portfolio, which will invest in a range of high quality assets such as high valued equities, investment grade fixed income securities, money market instruments and high yielding real estate investments. The fund is sponsored and to be managed by PAC Asset Management Limited, a subsidiary of PanAfrican Capital Plc and approved by the Securities & Exchange Commission,” he said.
Okwuadigbo added that the primary objective of the fund is to achieve long-term capital appreciation, capital preservation as well as providing a stable stream of income to investors by investing the fund’s assets across a mix of high quality listed equities on the NSE, investment grade fixed income instruments, money market instruments and real estate assets in Nigeria.
