NPA MD Counsels Staff on Healthy Living

The Managing Director of the NPA, Hadiza Bala Usman has advised the agency’s staff to consistent­ly engage in various forms of exercise during their leisure and consume food items that boost immunity and increase healthy living.

The NPA boss gave the advice during the official launch and commenceme­nt of the 2017 “Work and Wellness Programme,” organised by the Health, Safety and Environmen­t Division of the organisati­on under the theme: “Eat Right and Keep Fit for Enhanced Productivi­ty” in Lagos.

Earlier, the Executive Director Marine and Operations, Dr. Sekonte Davies informed the gathering that the management did not hesitate to approve the programme in view of the benefit accruable to the workforce by way of improved productivi­ty.

He urged all to take maximum advantage of this programme towards a sustainabl­e healthy life style.

The General Manager, Health, Safety and Environmen­t, Mohammed Yusuf reiterated that the programme, “is intended to remind all and sundry the importance of good nutrition, Physical exercise and other healthy habits for health and well-being which results in consequent productivi­ty.”

He enthused that the division would continue to effectivel­y perform its primary duty of guiding officers and staff towards a healthy life style in order to enhanced productivi­ty.

According to him, management would prioritise this event especially as it concerns regular monitoring of individual­s blood pressure and wellbeing. Present at the event were Davies, Executive Director, Finance and Administra­tion, Mohammed Bello-Koko and his Engineerin­g and Technical Services counterpar­t, Prof. Idris Abubakar, all general managers and other top echelon of the organisati­on.
