Skye Bank Plc has stepped up its empowerment initiative for women with the launch of Webinar 2.0, for the Skye Pearl subscribers.

Webinar 2.0 is a programme that offers women real value as it takes into account the needs and concerns of women in their quest to actualise their potentials either as entrepreneurs, professionals or stay-at-home mums.

Group Head, Retail Banking, Skye Bank, Mr. Ndubuisi Osakwe, explained that the new programme was necessary following the success of webinar 1.0 which came before.

“The bank is committed to empowering women entrepreneurs across various sectors of the economy, that is why we offer knowledge and networking opportunities, market linkages and access to finance in ways that clearly reflect the attitudinal difference between men and women which are critical dependencies for business success.”

The programme held on Facebook Live with the speakers engaged the participants on the topic of discourse: ‘Technological adoption: The New Normal for Business Optimisation and Economic Growth.

Osakwe added that the initiative was targetted mainly at women who own small and medium enterprises (SMEs) seeking to leverage technology to scale and optimise their business.

“Skye Pearl Initiative is anchored on six pillars namely: capacity building, information, networking, empowerment, mentoring, and access to finance aimed at projecting Pearl Woman as someone who is “precious, informed, connected, evolving and a role model,” he said.
