Firm Inaugurates Mobile School Device
Coscharis Technologies Limited, a subsidiary of Cosharis Group, recently, inaugurated a mobile school digital device designed to enhance the delivery of qualitative basic education at the primary and secondary school levels, in the country.
The device, in three modules, would also enable teachers to teach effectively.
The Managing Director of the organisation, Mr. Sunday Emomine Mukoro who briefed Journalist in Lagos, expressed excitement about the device saying that the installed software applications are customised to meet the needs of every user either for pupils in primary one to six, student in JSS one to three, SSS one to three, or their respective teachers in all subjects According to him, “the software runs on Android Operating System(OS) and functions as graphics virtual and video classroom in all subjects across all classes, providing opportunities for the users to repeat and review each lessons as many times as possible before undertaking inbuilt exams for self-evaluations to determine the progress in learning.”
With 75,000 questions and answers embedded into it, Mukoro affirmed that the retention rate of students, will be high, adding that it will also act as a catalyst in the development of education in the country. The managing director said the device and installed software have been endorsed by the federal ministry of education, National Information Technology Agency(NITDA), among other agencies of government. “Every product integration is in total compliance with international digital best practices in education delivery for teaching experiences and learning.”
Emphasising on its benefits to users, he said the device has offline and online access, free offline videos and animations to aid teaching, over 75,000 past JAMB, WAEC, JSCE, Common Entrance and A-level questions and answers, teachers e-teaching tools and curriculum for all classrooms as directed by NERDC.
Other benefits, the managing director said include; quick summary of textbooks of more than 40 subjects , career counseling guide which will help students decide on a career and also teach them how to pursue it, competitive pricing and free training on use of content.
“For the first time ever, you can have your wards sit for JAMB and WAEC exams everyday from the comforts of your home. There is absolutely no reason why youths should fail or sit repeatedly for these exams, ”Mukoro stressed. He expressed his organisation’s plan to engage polytechnics and universities in the country so that engineering students can have hands-on knowledge to maintain and be able to repair the device when necessary.
